Veterinarians or Veterinary Doctors (Vets) are commonly referred to as ‘animal doctors’ as they:

• diagnose and treat pets,
• livestock and other animals experiencing diseases,
• sickness and other medical conditions.

In order to understand how to become a veterinary doctor, here’s main duties of the same:

• Providing preventative care like vaccinations and check-ups.

• Examining animals, treating wounds and performing surgeries.
• Providing emergency care and euthanizing animals.
• Advising animal owners about the care and prescribing medications.

Veterinary Doctor in India:

• Qualify the All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) exam:  bachelor’s degree in Veterinary.
• After graduating with a degree in Veterinary Science, you have to further study an MD in Veterinary Science or its related specialisation to become a certified Veterinary Doctor.
• Also, can pursue a three-month clinical training at Teaching Services Clinical Complex (TSCC) and then you will be eligible to explore the job profile of Veterinary doctor in India.

AIPVT 2022 Exam Dates

AIPVT 2022 Application Form

The Application Form will be available online mode. AIPVT 2022 Application Form will be released in July 2022. The Candidates have to Apply Through NEET Examination, VCI will Conduct the exam for Applicants.

Application Fee:

• Applicants will be able to submit the application fee via online mode.
• AIPVT 2022 Application Fee for the General category Rs. 1000/-.
• For the SC/ ST/ PH category will have to pay Rs. 500/-.
• After the Payment of Fee take a printout of the AIPVT Confirmation Slip after a successful transaction.

AIPVT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:

• Candidates Must have Indian Nationality.
• Candidates who are belonging to Jammu & Kashmir State have to Submit an Affidavit.

Age Limit:

• Applicants must be minimum of 17 years of age as on/ before 31st December 2022.
• Candidates must not be more than 25 years of age as on/ before 31st December 2022.
• The Candidates who are belonging to the reserve category ST/SC will get an Extention of 5 Years.

Qualification:

• Candidates must qualify for the 12th level examination recognized by AIU.
• Applicants must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English as a mandatory subject.
• Applicants from General Category must score 50% marks & Reserved Category have to Score 43.5%.
• Candidates must score 50% minimum marks in the qualifying examination in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology.

AIPVT 2022 Admit Card

VIC will release the Admit Card on the official website, which we also Provided here. The admit card is a mandatory document that the candidate has to carry on the day of the examination.

• Enter the details- Registration number & password.
• Then it will be downloaded, you can take a printout of it.
• Take More Print for future reference like for the counseling round.

AIPVT 2022 Exam Pattern

AIPVT exam will be conducted offline. The candidates have to attempt the 180 multiple-choice questions in total.

• The Subject of Paper is Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• There is a Provision of a Negative Marking Scheme in the Exam.
• The candidate can score 4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

AIPVT 2022 Syllabus

• The AIPVT 2022 Syllabus will cover topics from Chemistry, Physics, Biology.
• The syllabus for all three subjects is prepared by the Class XII level NCERT syllabus.
